firefox and Opera Mozilla Foundation officially released FireFox 3.0 which should set a new record for number of downloads.

With more than 15,000 improvements, Firefox 3 is claimed to be faster, safer and smarter than ever before. It will compete with IE7 and IE8. Also it will be a great competitor for recently released Opera 9.5 by Norway's Opera Software ASA

New improved features include: password Manager, On-Click Bookmarking, Improved Performance, Smart Location Bar, Instant Web Site ID, Full Zoom, Platform native look and feel.
